I attended The World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City IA. In 1983, I started working in the auction industry shortly after completion. In 1987, I moved from Illinois to Oklahoma, where my work as an auctioneer continued. In 1992, extending my range of experience, I started working automobile auctions, working 3-4 a week. In the past 28 years, I have had the opportunity to work a wide range of auctions, from the smallest household or estate auction to a very large heavy equipment auction, farm auctions or real estate auctions.
My wife (Sandra), an elementary school teacher, and our daughter (Ashton), a 10th grader, help with setting up auctions as well as working the day of the auction.
On the personal side, we enjoy sports, which includes Ashton’s softball games. We enjoy playing golf when the opportunity arises. NASCAR is also a family favorite. (we miss Dale just like everybody else does). Horseback riding, RODEO, or taking in a horse race just about sums up our horsing around. On Sunday morning we can usually be found at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Muskogee.
Back to business, no matter what size or type of auction you are considering, it will be handled and marketed to obtain the best results using the resources needed to achieve success .
